Well X-mas has come and gone again, hope you all had a good one.

Lets see what the new year brings for this mad world.

St. Joseph's Lagoon and Darros Island Airfield

Beautiful isn't it? And they pay me for this!

As the saying goes, A bad day in f lying still better than a good day at work

The atoll itself is only accessible by boat, in low tide you can almost walk around it, Darros Island has a tiny grass airstrip but kudos to them, its kept in great condition.

The flight is about 1hr15 and it can be spectacular, especially when the whale-sharks are frolicking.

Before I Start

I'm a 23yr old pilot living in a tropical island nation. Fluency in English French and the local dialect is typical over here. The temp hovers around 29 Celsius and the its either sunny or torrential with little bits in between.

I've been noted as a pessimist and a cynic by those who know me, but I consider that unlikely and no-one is perfect anyway.

I'm engaged to a beautiful woman and we rent a cozy house in the hills.
I'm both a dog owner and a cat owner, both are under the impression that they own me.

I appreciate a good joke, one-liner, quote or photograph (all of which I intend to include in my postings)

Finally, I'm crap at the "keep it going" thing, so I doubt that the will be a logical pattern in my updates.
